looking forward

you that period during sunset on a hot summer night. the sun is over the horizon and all shades of orange/yellow are gone but its not dark yet. the sky to the east is pitch black and the west is almost white but definitely a blueish tone. in between there are this 1000 degrees of blue that gradates between the light and the dark. those shades of blue. i only get to see them a few times a year, and when i do i stop dead in my tracks knowing that they are only going to last for a few seconds before being consumed by the darkness. i love them all.
